Water colour leaf

Hello sweet bloggers,

Pinterest is taking a lot of my time these days and this particular card got it's inspiration from there. The leaf has been die cut from water coloured paper which was the handiwork of Aleeza, my younger one. I have used almost the entire little sheet of foam dots to raise up the white paper and the leaf. Embroidery yarn has been used to fill up the empty space at the bottom.  I quite like how this card turned out.

I will enter this card in the following challenges:

Happy crafting,

Monica

  1. Oh YES!! I LOVE THIS! The leaf is fantastic and Aleeza did a great job. I can't watercolor for the life of me! I love the way the yarn matches the leaf so perfect. Beautiful card!

  3. What a fabulous card Monica - instead of foam dots, I often use cereal packet cardboard to give dimension behind elements that I want raised, like your frame, sometimes using more than one layer.
