Painted flowers

Hello sweet peeps,

Here is my card to show you today. I have painted these flowers directly with a brush dipping one of the brush in yellow and the other end in a wee bit or red and this is what I achieved. I cut out the flowers and moulded them gently, popped them on foam tape. The flower centres are also hand made with a flower punch. For the flourishes and punched leaves, I have used paper that I ran a brush with green water colour over it. The beautiful green printed paper came from Terry. Thanks so much!

Monochromatic pink and white

Hello sweet bloggers,
Here is another card to show you with this lovely filigreed heart. Just a simple sweet card with a question for you - does the heart in the centre look kind of lonely or empty? This embossing folder was a little too big so I embossed it in a manner that would fit my card. I have used liquid pearls in the centre to finish it off. Would love to know what you think of it.

Wish you a lovely week ahead...

Teddy bear, teddy bear eat your cake

Hello there,
Hope you are having a nice weekend... it is almost the end of Sunday here so I thought I must blog before the day is over.
My card is a simple one here. I have used this darling image from Penny Black many a time and love it. It has been coloured with water colour pencils and I have propped up the image on foam dots. The incomplete circle happened because there was not enough space on the paper but I went for it and I quite like what turned out. I love this Ek Success cupcake border punch and wish I would use it more often. The buttons and embroidery yarn are from my stash. Buttons seem to be  on every card (almost) of mine.

For Less is More - sketch

Hello it's me again for the second time today which is quite rare. Here is my card for Less is More  - quick and easy. The lovely strawberry came from my dear blog buddy Sandra. Thank you so much, I love it!!! The strawberry has been popped on foam dots to make it look 3D.
I have had this mesh embossing folder hanging around for a long time now so it was beckoning me to be used. The sentiment is handwritten and I am not too impressed with it.

Off to make some more cards and then read to Aleeza.

For a baby girl

Hello sweet bloggers,

Here is my card for today which is for a baby girl. The doily stamp is from Paper Mania and the lace stamp is from Kaiser Craft (I think). The tiny flowers have been punched out of a paper I crumpled and sponged purple and white water colours over it. The sentiment is from Hampton Arts and the flowers around the button have liquid pearls in their centres. Sorry that the picture is a bit crooked. Note to myself - must learn to take better pictures.

I love this paper

Hello sweet bloggers,
Thanks for the kind comments on my last card... and for the suggestions on how to fill the empty space at the bottom.
I have been busy making cards for the bazaar on May the 14th, so busy that I could not blog yesterday. Here is my card to show you for today and much as I love the colours on this paper, I am not sure if the double bow looks nice. You know when I make general cards they do really well so I went for it - just paper with no stamping. It made up for not using stamps because I took loads of time taken to get the bow done properly - these double bows can be trying. In retrospect, I may add a few pearls or rhinestones on the paper to make it prettier.

I must go and do some visiting now.

Much love,
Monica
