Meow

Hello sweet peeps,

I went to make cards with the kids in Aleeza's class and they sure had fun. They just seemed so absorbed in making cards and sticking as much material as possible on the card as they could. I spent most of the time trying to take care of my stamp pads from being left open and drying out but it was all well worth it.

Here is my card to show you today made with my clear stamp from Hobby Craft bought this summer from London. And you know what happened to the sentiment with it? As I was trying to peel it off the acetate, it split into two. However I did not give up, I thought I would still be able to use it - somehow. But it was not meant to be and as I was trying to be as gentle as I could, it came apart into another piece so I had three parts lying on my table and all I could do was to dump it in the dust bin. And the cat stamp refused to come off the acetate layer but this time I did not resist that. Instead I stuck it along with the acetate layer on an acrylic block with double sided tape and managed to stamp it. I was rather impressed with what I did and gave myself a mental pat. The image has been coloured with my Prismas - how I love them so. I have mounted the white nestie on foam tape and layered it on to a scalloped nestie which has been recycled from a brochure cover. The paper on this card is from Kaiser I think and the ribbon is from my stash. I tried to copy the sentiment in my own hand writing.

I will enter this card in:

Fun cards for the bazaars

Hello sweet bloggers,

Here are some fun cards I made for kids or even adults who are kids at heart (I am one of them, lol)

The first card is made out of a new pack of paper napkins I bought at the super market. Aleeza wanted to use them but I safely hid them in my drawer to make cards. Stuck a birdie and mushroom sticker (kind courtesy Lynnalong with a MS  border fence. The flowers are hand made by yours truly.

This card does not need any explanation... the base card stock has been covered by gift wrap. And I stuck left overs on the top. The cat is a sticker and the sentiment is hand written. The leaves have been punched with my MS leaf punch.

TGIF!

Off to Singapore for the weekend to meet a very dear friend after 4 years. And she does not know that we are coming to Singapore - so it will be a surprise for her.

Have a nice weekend.

Hugs,

Monica

With love from Lynn!

Hello bloggers,

Hope you are happy and healthy...

This post comes after a long gap and believe me I was kind of getting cravings to post something...

Here is a card I made with Lynn's delightful candy... kiddy's cards are always a big hit for some reason.  I love this teddy sticker and the self adhesive hearts. Thank you, Leigh!

The sentiment - SWEET TREATS is handwritten and the cupcake embossing folder is my new buy as well...

Wish you a pleasant Monday where ever you are...

Hugs,

Monica

Green and yellow monkey card

Hello bloggers,

It is almost 7 pm in th evening as I post this card...

Zeenya made the yellow-green circular background with her Staedler flourescent markers on plain card stock - all she did was draw circles in green and yellow in  a zig zag way. And I stuck 3D stickers on top.

I had to get this card ready for a sale and Zeenya said that it would never sell...But it sold instantly to a little boy's mum at Aleeza's school.

I was going to submit this card for the following challenges:

www.charismacardz.blogspot.com/ - four legged animals

www.meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.com/ - animals

www.sendasmile4kidschallenge.blogspot.com/ - anything goes

Love,

Even though small children are my big time customers, I am always short of ideas when it comes to crafting cards for boys or men.

This card was made with different textures of paper. I love layering and never seem to tire of it. I sold it my daughter's school family fair to a Japanese lady. I am sure she bought it to send to her son's friend.

Somebody needs to inspire me with cards for boys...
