Pictures of my charity table at the community fair for "Initiative for Peace"

Hello sweet peeps,

Here is my card to show you which was one of the many I made for "Initiative for Peace" which is a an effort of the school that my older one goes to. It is a global peace mission which tries to bring peace to troubled nations. And as I write this, I do hope there is more peace and calm and tolerance and compassion and forgiveness and love in the world.
I almost sounded like a priestess there, didn't I? However, I do wish that I had a magic wand to bring peace everywhere including my heart to start with. Lol.

Over to my card now which is made with very little yet it looked quite nice when it was ready. The ribbon and button are from my stash and the sentiment is store bought to aid quick card making considering I had to turn out over 40 cards in less than 10 days. And yes, this card sold.

Down below is my little angel, Aleeza helping me out at the charity fair when she could have actually had lots of fun trying out the various activities for children. Well, that is the price you pay when you have a mother who loves her art dearly. Sorry for the picture quality but that is the best we could manage. I am very grateful to the school for letting me have a table to sell my cards. The poster you see on the table was made by Aleeza. It was made with love so I had to display it. Thank you, Aleeza.

Wish you a nice everything - be it health, craft making, card making, sleeping or eating,

Monica

Pictures of my charity card sale on November 18th

Hello crafting soulmates,

Here are pictures of one my cards for the charity sale. The silvery paper was made my Aleeza. She spread glue on a recycled paper and sprinkled glitter on it and this was the result. I managed to make over 40 cards in a week.

This was my table which I decorated with black and red to follow the colour scheme of the venue which was a gymnasium on the 38th floor of a building

Down below is the sunset from the venue - pretty, isn't it?

I will enter my card in the following challenges:

Happy crafting,

Monica

Another charity sale at Zeenya's school

Hello bloggers,

Thanks to all the love and encouragement from you ladies, I managed to sell 51 of my 68 cards at Zeenya's school. That makes a total of 91 cards that I sold in both the schools.

Yippee! I was thrilled to bits... Of course a lot of credit goes to the children and their mums who bought my cards.

The card above is actually recyled from an Indian wedding card... All I did was to cut borders out of the old card and stick some sequins and punch out a round shape from the new love of my life - my Cuttlebug!
Stuck everything on gold card stock to make it look even more rich.

Below are some pics of the cards for the sale.

This was a quick make with 3D stickers and pop up punches that I got from Hobby craft in London.
Oh my lovely Cuttlebug - the ladies who bought these cards simply loved the embossed effect. They thought that I had bought ready made embossed paper.
These reindeer were left over from another card and this is what I did with them.

Zeenya distressed and stamped this teddy bear... happily taken by a small girl in school.
This was a card for little boys.
 Card for men.
Famous paisley card done by mum - Zeenya distressed the image. The very first card to be sold!
Peace signs by Zeenya... she did not think it was worth selling but it sold!
Puppy card.

Everytime I have a charity sale and it does well, I am on cloud nine...

I am linking the very first card on this post to Monique's blog - www.naturallymecreations.blogspot.com/

Thanks again for your motivating and kind comments.

Love,

Monica

For charity card sale last week

Hello bloggers,

I have had a busy and happy week as I had a card sale in my younger daughter's school ... The first set of cards was made by my Mum - she and her famous paisleys. But I marvel how she draws free hand. She made some tea light cards also.

The rest of the cards were made by me...

Managed to make 66 cards and am proud to say that 40 sold off! Am so chuffed.

Have another sale in my older daughter's school on Tuesday. We are trying to help the volcano tragedy victims with the sale proceeds. I know I don't make much money out my cards but it keeps me happy and it is my small way of paying back.

Have a nice day or evening where ever you are...

Love,

Monica

Picture of charity sale

These are some of my beautiful customers who bought my cards in the charity sale on the 26th of May. As I mentioned earlier, children are my big all time customers. Thank God for angels on earth. The sale went pretty well and with the proceeds we managed to buy stationery items for 180 poor children in a primary school in Indonesia.
One highlight was the cookie jars that I took along with me... oatmeal and chocolate bikis. And the children loved them (ofcourse only the choco ones!) Nobody except adults touched the oatmeal cookies. It was such fun to offer cookies for no reason at all!!! :) Never mind the fact that the bikis only helped encouraged the sale.
