Aleeza's Mickey Mouse and my card

Hello lovely bloggers,

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods... It is rainy season here so it can get quite icky and sticky when it rains...

A friend of mine gave Aleeza this doodle board and here is the Mickey Mouse she drew... She seemed quite happy with her effort and I managed to capture her expressions on camera!

Now to my card -
I have used a Penny Black stamp called Up and About and coloured it with my water colour pencils. I do think that my colouring is getting better... I really want to learn how to do shading though.

The edges of the images have been sponged with milled lavender.
I have added a bit of glitter to the bouquet that the girl is carrying and also to my handmade flowers. The paper lace has been punched out of an MS border punch.
I have used this stamp earlier but just seem to never tire of it. And every card that I make with it just sells so quickly.

Am entering this card in

MIM - Anything goes
and
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything goes

Will try and do my rounds soon - gotta read to Aleeza now since it is close to her bed time.

See you soon.

Hugs,

Monica

I have sold 105 cards for Japan Red cross so far... yippeeeeeee!!!

Hello, my lovely, cheerful, motivating, loving and encouraging bloggers,

I am still unable to comment on some of fave blogs... Google - uuuurghh! Never mind, I hope things get better.

I have managed to sell 105 cards so far and now I must put a stop till I get my next batch ready...

Now to this card - I managed to sell it - yippee!!! For USD 3.5!

I have used  a Hero Arts stamp on this card which has been coloured by Zeenya using Darwent water colour pencils in those good ol' days when she used to take interest in crafting... no longer, though!!! Sob, sob, sob!

The edges of the paper on which the image is stamped have been distressed with Wild Honey while the brick background is new gift wrap.

The woollen yarn at the bottom is what I bought when we went to Singapore a while ago.

The flowers are home made with flower punches from Carla craft and I have added a blob of 3D pop up fabric glue to their centres. I distressed and crushed the paper before punching out the flowers.

The sentiment is hand written on that little tablet which was sent to me by Shirley-Anne.

Hope you like it... I have used this stamp earlier but it is always a hot favourite for some reason. I do like it, I have to say.

Hugs,

Monica

Girl with dog

This card was made by my 10 year old daughter Zeenya, for one of her friends. She felt that the card was not too birthdayish so she rummaged through my drawers and found the blue balloons. She coloured everything in with Maped colour pencils and I helped her paste the ribbon.
