Art and Craft by three-year olds

 Hello bloggers,

Aleeza, my three-year-old made this basket in school for Easter. I thought the teacher did a good job of recyling a milk carton!!!
Sorry for posting it this late...

This is the side view of the carton...sorry all the chocolates
were eaten away by the time this picture was taken...Lol! Now I know why my waistline is expanding!!!

This card was made by Zeenya a few weeks ago. She made it with designer paper that I had won as candy in a lucky draw on Terry's blogversery last year.

She dressed up the paper with pop up fabric paint, glitter glue and metallic Sakura pens.

Catch you later...

Hugs and thanks for visiting,

Monica

Hello bloggers,

Hope you are having a good and relaxing Easter weekend... I certainly am...

This is a card I have made for Rosalee's 16 year old sister who had a farming accident  in Canada wherein she sadly lost three of her fingers. And here I am moaning and groaning about aching fingers and shoulders... shame on me, really!

I stamped my Hero Arts flower stamp on pearlised white paper (which was sent by kind Leigh) with Jim Holtz Ranger distress ink in crushed olive. I coloured in the flowers with my gold Sakura markers.

The gold cord is from my stash while the green printed paper was also sent by dear Leigh.

The sentiment is handwritten - am not too pleased with it to be honest. This card could have been more cheerful and somehow it doesn't seem right for a 16 year old. I do hope it cheers her up, though. And as usual, it looks nicer in real life.

Happy Easter to all of your lovely, lovely people out there.

Hugs,

Monica

61 cards for Japan Redcross so far...

Hello bloggers,

I hope all is well in your neck of the woods...

Here is a card I finished today...
I have used pearly white cardstock.
The designer paper is hand block printed from India.

The little bit of crushed gold paper is handmade and from India as well.

The sentiment is from a Sizzix embossing folder.

Some of the flowers have been punched and I have stuck sequins on them.

The metallic daisies are actually confetti from Paper Chase. I just shaped each daisy with the end of a satay stick.

This card looks far prettier in real life... that is sadly often the case with me.

Anyway I do hope you like it.

Happy crafting and many thanks for all the lovely comments you all leave me. It is such a source of joy and inspiration...

Hugs,

Monica

Thank You Card

Hello bloggers,

It is a nice Tuesday morning as I write this post to you all and the time here is 11 am.

This is an aperture card and it went haywire because I did not use my newly acquired Ek Success punch properly. So from a square this is what it finally came to be - a rectangle which is just as well because the sheep fits in well.

This cute sheep came in the adorable treasure box from dear Sandra.

The paper is actually new gift wrap that I bought for it's crackled appearance.

The ribbons are from my stash. The safety pin is from a garment tag while the buttons are the extras that come along with shirts and stuff like that.

The sentiment is handwritten - isn't it cool??? Thank you from the 'baatom' of my heart! I promise I did not copy that from anywhere - it is my creation!

I am going to enter this in the following:

http://mygraficocrafts.blogspot.com/ - anything goes

Hugs and happy crafting,

Monica

Christmas card

Hello bloggers,

Sunday is over and here is Monday... kids off to school and I am on the computer...
it is 11 am as I write this post to you all lovely bloggers out there. I hope you had a nice weekend. We went to an amazing Italian restaurant called Tuscano yesterday for lunch and I do think it was by far the best Italian cuisine I have ever had. I think it beat the food in Rome!!!

Now to this card - Sandra had sent me these very lovely stamps some time ago for Zeenya (who is going through an off-craft phase - sad, sad, sad). So I decided to make use of these awesome stamps.
I stamped the image on creamy beige multi shaded cardstock.
I coloured in a few elements of the image with Sakura gold along with Uniball coppery silver pen instead of using traditional colours.
It looks quite nice in real life unlike the picture which is rather bland.

The picture does looks better on zooming in though... I have used gold cord on the side to finish it off and also faux tiny gems here and there to make it look more lively.

Have a nice Monday!
Lots of love,

Monica

A quick card with sweet Sandra's goodies!

Hello bloggers,

Good evening! It is almost 5 pm as I post this card...

I have made this with the delightful craft candy that Sandra sent me in that lovely treasure box...

I hope you like my card...It took me all of 15 minutes to make it. I do so like such quick makes for selling! Isn't it cute?

The sentiment is handwritten.

The ribbon at the bottom is from my stash. Everything else is from that treasure box which I love to bits. Thank you, Sandra!

Wish you happy crafting, good health and cheer where ever you are.

Lots of love and hugs,

Monica
