For challenges and charity

Hello bloggers,

Am so relieved that dear Sandra is back to crafting - she has been going through a not so good phase physically. She has made a beautiful card for Halloween - do check it out on her blog and leave her lots of love. She is such a special lady - full of kindness and warmth just like so many of you out there. Okay - enough of senti stuff...

This card has been made with lots of punches and OFCOURSE my home made flowers.

Incidentally these roses are made from a Sizzix mini die cut.

Guess what I have used for the leaves  - the remains of the punch used at the bottom!!! How thrifty I am - seeeeeeee... LOL.

The tear drops above the diamonds are also from the same remains.

The shimmery vase has been cut from  my Cuttlebug die cuts. My daughter - Zeenya is not very impressed with this card - she says it is cheap! Meanie! She does not approve of the vase.

Now to business - am going to enter is card for the following challenges:

www.lexiscreations.blogspot.com/

www.simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/

www.creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/

http://www.papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/

It took me over half an hour to write this post with the names of the challenges - duh!

As you can see I am taking this business of challenges quite seriously - again I have got the inspiration from you bloggers... thank you all so much.

Anyway the bottom line is that it is another card for charity never mind challenge or not.

Hope you like my card.

Love,

Monica

Hello Monica. Your card is gorgeous and such beautiful shades of blue, I love it.
You have such a warm heart Monica, and thank you so much for thinking of me. I dont think I am back to crafting properly yet, I just wanted to add my DT card, dont want to let my team-mates down now do I.
I am slowly trying to get back to making cards, but as for sitting and putting on blog, then thats a different story for now. Will try and email later to explain.
Lots of love, Sandra xx

Hi Monica
I just love your handmade roses on this card - beautiful, and thrifty's the way to be - don't think I'm thrifty enough (just can't think outside the box!).
Thank you for the lovely comments you leave on my blog. When I make cards for special occasions with larger flowers on them, I make a box to present them in. But, quite often for birthdays, I am lazy and squash the card into the envelope. Or, sometimes, I make box envelopes out of 12x12 paper using the Crafters Companion Ultimate Pro).
Love, Andrea xx

Monica, I just love reading your blog! You always bring a smile to my face and I love you for it! Your card is beautiful and I love the flowers you have made...and you are one crafty woman...I love the leaves for the roses and how you thought to use them from your punch. I don't usually see that clearly. Tell your daughter you are not cheap, you are very crafty!! Hugs to ya sweetie!
