Hello bloggers,
Today was a real hot and sunny day... And it was my mum's 69th birthday. I made this card at 12 midnight as that was the only time I could manage...Am not too pleased with it and the sentiment hardly shows... pity!
The lace on this card has a 90 year old history, yes, 90 year old history!!! Can you believe that? My great grandpa bought it from Europe in the 1920s. I am lucky that it was passed on to me. It cannot be seen well as the sentiment has covered it all.
The paper is from Terry's blog candy and the roses are home made.
Love,
Monica

Hello Monica. How pretty and I love the backing paper which co-ordinates really well with your beautiful flowers.
Your Mum will be thrilled with it. Happy crafting.

I like your version of the flower pot. Wow, a 90 years old lace! so that make your mom still young.
Monica, this is just gorgeous and your mother will love it I'm sure. Your flowers are outstanding. Wish I could do that - mine always look like someone has stepped on them! Oh well... That lace! WOW. Fantastic - and so wonderful of you to use it on the card. It will be something your mom will treasure.

I think it's a great card and I'm sure your mum will love it. It's made all the more special the way that you've used lace that's even older than your mum! The flowers are so big and bold that your focus is drawn to them, so I wouldn't worry too much about anything else! Marie x
Monica, your card is beautiful and so nice of you to make it for your mom, who will treasure it for always. It's special things like that which make the heart swell with pride. Your flowers are beautiful - it's the first thing I noticed! It reminded me that I need to get busy with mine following your tute. I love the lace at the bottom - really makes it elegant. Of course, the ribbon does too and the flower pot - very clever - very cute - it's adorable! You're such a creative crafter - thanks for sharing!
