Hello lovely bloggers,
We got back late Tuesday night from Singapore - it is always nice to be there. Unfortunately my favourite craft shop has closed down for revamping so it was a bit disappointing for me but certainly good for my pocket. I met up with my close friends and that was very refreshing indeed.
Here is quick card I made this afternoon with almost no mojo on cream card stock and kraft paper (which was once upon a time a table mat in an Italian restaurant). I do find it a trifle dull and it could have done with a metal charm but buttons and jute is all I had in my stash to fit the bill for a masculine card. I have used my Sizzix embossing folder and coloured in the embossed images with chalk and distress inks. The sides have been sponged to make it more rugged looking. I have coloured around the punched hole with a felt pen to add interest.
Down below is something one of my friends shared with me... It was a photocopy but I could not resist sharing it.
I will enter this card in the following challenges:
http://divasbydesignchallenge.blogspot.com/ - anything goes
http://thesisterhoodofcrafters.blogspot.com/ - birthdays
http://craft-roomchallenge.blogspot.com/ - for a man

I promise to come and visit your lovely blogs soon.
Happy to be back,
Monica

Hi Monica
Hope you get your mojo back soon. Lovely card...I don't make many mens cards as find them a bit difficult for the brain as never know what to make lol.
Many thanks for all the wonderful comments you leave on my blog.

So glad you are back, Monica - but it doesn't look like your mojo is gone! (but I understand) LOL - how is your daughter? Hopefully things will settle and voila! your mojo will be in high gear. What did you like best about your recent trip? Did you take photos to share with us? Love your two cards. I forget to use a simple embossing folder for masculine cards - this looks great! Thanks for the reminder, and the very nice example! ((hugs))
When you think about masculine cards do you think a guy would want more than what you have added? This is perfectly handsome, Monica!
Lovely that you are back and had a good time. Well you haven't done too badly without your mojo . I think it is a great man's card. Hugs, Ursula
Brilliant card Monica, I like the embossed tools and the buttons,

Monica, my dear friend, you are amazing! I just love your cards as they are so inspirational and really give me ideas for my crafting cards. I love this card. You did perfectly! The embossing, the ink/chalk distressing is altogether perfect because anything more would not have allowed for the beauty of the embossing to be seen - cute masculine folder! The buttons and jute on the sentiment make it just right! I LOVE this card; all of your cards really make my mojo happy! I hope you get yours back though it looks like you haven't lost it. Simple masterpiece is what you've done! ;-)
Know you had a wonderful trip! But, glad you're back now.....
And with this fabulous card! The jute twine is perfect on here and love that embossing folder! GREAT!

This is a wonderful creation, just perfect for our male theme this fortnight. Thanks for joining us at Craft Room Challenge and good luck with the draw. Julia xxx
This is a fabulous male card. Great embossing. I think men don't want as much embellishments on their cards as we do
Love the verse
