For Less is More this week - beads

Hello sweet bloggers,

At Less is More the theme this week is beads... I have plenty of beads in my stash but just could not think of a clean and simple card. Anyway here is my take on the beads. Simple card but sweet I think. These hearts were bought in Singapore the last time I visited. They came in a pack and I have thrown away the the flap on the top which had their name. The embossing folder is a Sizzix one and the beads came free with a magazine called Card Making and Paper Craft some seven years ago. This is the first time I used them. Talk of hoarding, yet again. Lol.

I just realized that I could also enter this card in CAS(ual) Friday this week for their no stamp challenge.

Donna Ellis said...: Monica, I've never thought of using beads like that on my cards - when I have used them, they were usually dangly. THIS is a terrific idea! I will be using it, too! Beautiful card. Dry embossing ads such an elegance and richness to cards. Your die cut is very pretty. I was GOING to ask for the name of the cuts LOL -- don't you just hate that hoarding feeling? About Me

My name is Monica and I am a mother to two lovely girls aged 22 and 14. We moved back to Singapore in June 2014 after having lived in Jakarta, Indonesia and Mumbai. I have a background in Psychology and Sociology Honours along with a post grad diploma in Journalism. I used to work in direct marketing for a premium hotel in India before I decided to become a stay at home mother. I have been creating and selling greeting cards for charity since 17 years. I often use unusual packaging material on my cards to respect and care for the environment. Presently, I share my cards as well as the proceeds from their sales with a shelter that houses and supports abused women in Singapore.
