Hello dear bloggers,
Here is a quick card I made while trying to achieve results with double embossing folders. Ihave been noticing in blogland, crafters trying all kinds of techniques so I tried my hand at something new for me. Unfortunately what I did was to snap my C plate (Cuttlebug) into two and that is it. I did manage to tape it up for the time being. Back to my card - I used two colours to sponge the embossed paper instead of two embossing folders, lol, which did not happen.
My new Washi tape helped make the felt butterflies from my stash look more elegant. The sentiment is handwritten with a thin tipped Staedler marker and the nesties have been sponged too. I have no idea why I chose such a very bright background with bougainvilleas. Maybe I wanted to show the plant and how colourfully it is blooming. Lol.
I will enter this card in the following challenges:
http://thepapershelter.blogspot.sg/ - anything goes
http://cardsinenvy.blogspot.sg/ - flat card with wings
Happy everything,
Monica

Beautiful card! I love your double embossing technique. Such lovely butterflies! Thanks for sharing with us at Cards in Envy.
Beautiful!!! Love the embossing of course and those delightful butterflies. Outstanding!
Sorry about the C plate! I did the same thing a couple of years ago and it took forever for me to find a new one. I also taped mine together and it worked for a while.

Oh Monica - how frustrating to break your C plate :-(. Love the resulting card though with the two colours, it is ever so pretty.

I am in love with your embossing folder, Monica! Fun shapes and lots of overlapping rounds - makes a very interesting card, especially with all the other dotted elements! Wonderful card. hugs, de
