Jumbo home made flowers for Christmas

Hello everyone, thanks so much for your comforting words when my daughter was ill. Thanks to your loving wishes, she is much better now... And I am back to crafting!!!

Yours truly made these  jumbo flowers yesterday with a Sizzix mini. I promise I will post the instructions soon. I need to get better at clicking pictures for tutorials. I was quite thrilled with the way these flowers turned out and could not wait to put them on a card.

The roses have been stuck on handmade card stock from India - it has a very nice distressed look to it with splashes of gold. The ribbon is from a dollar store in Sydney (from my stash) and the red faux gems are from Paper Mania. The holly leaves have been punched out of Carla craft holly punch on handmade gold paper.

Hope you like it...

Lots of love,

Monica

Hi Monica
Glad to hear your little one is starting to feel better. Im glad that it wasn't dengue. We worry about that here in Cairns too. We have an outbreak of it at the moment. Apparently though the scientists have managed to breed a bacteria in mosquitoes now that kills of the dengue. They are planning on releasing these mosquitoes here where we live in January as a trial. Wonders of modern science hey!
Your card is absolutely stunning!! Your flowers are incredible, so beautiful. You are very clever.

Thank you for linking this lovely card up to "Make It Monday" this week

Hey there Monica, Love your card. I've made flowers like this before. Takes quite a bit of time and careful hands but they always turn out beautifully. Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog.
Here is a tutorial to the flowers I was talking about. A little more complicated but all in all it seems to be the same thing as the ones on your card.
