Hello dear bloggers,
This card was made many years ago but something went amiss with the glossy accents and there was an overdose of it on the stencilled flower. The card stock got warped and I stuck another one under it. Yet the layer of glossy accent was too strong. The sentiment is a die cut from a set of Sizzix dies.
I am not sure whether I should even post this card since the sponging is a bit messy to add to it. The flower centre looks quite pretty in real life with the little dots I made with a blue metallic Sakura gel pen.
For the backdrop, I have used a sheet from last year's Singapore Airlines desk calender. I think that is the cool part of this photo.
I will participate in the following challenges:

Happy card making,

Don't you get frustrated when cards develop an mind of their own and go in totally unexpected directions!.. Love your background to the striking flower card - maybe a button in the middle of the flower could help things? Just a thought

The colours give it a bright sunny feel. It is very sweet and I think the background works.
With the background, the card is cheerful. It's beautiful the way it turned out. Just think of it as an experiment of learning. Thanks for joining us at LTSCB
